The impact of oil on the emotional level:
Neurotonic: Peppermint essential oil is an excellent physical and psychological tonic. It is an oil with cortisone-like properties (i.e., it mimics the effect of cortisone), such as Scots pine, and helps the body recharge during periods of extreme fatigue.
Refreshing peppermint essential oil helps you become aware of your breathing. It's one of those oils that calms the mind and helps you focus on what's important, facilitating concentration. This oil helps with neurovegetative dystonia or... mood swings! Peppermint essential oil brings calm, relief, or a surge of energy or spiritual strength that allows you to conquer certain heights.
For anyone a little depressed, worried, or even gloomy, stuck in rumination and rethinking the past, it serves as a source of refreshment when it's time to clear your head or even your mind. After all, it's also the wind that changes direction and helps us adapt to new conditions; one could say that peppermint can become the wind of our own story when we allow ourselves to succumb to its refreshing swiftness. While it may seem icy to tense and frightened characters, for those experiencing tension and fear, it also proves to be a source of energy, helping them find a childlike spirit, where it's pleasant to lick and surrender to foolishness.
Peppermint essential oil will help you be open to understanding others, able to connect on the basis of shared ideas, and outwardly overexcited, yet always with a dynamic ease, a cool head, and clear ideas. The
invigorating and pleasant aroma of peppermint elevates energy levels.
In perfumery: Top notes. Typically evaporate very quickly. In a blend, these often determine the first impression of the prepared mixture. Recommended for creating light, inviting compositions that awaken the mind and activate the will. A simple whiff of essential oil is enough to create a spirit of freedom and activity. Use as a resourceful perfume if you like the scent.
Contraindications:
For topical use only. Not recommended for pregnant or nursing women. Do not use for extended periods. It should be avoided especially by asthmatics and neurosensitive patients (e.g., epileptics), including due to its very high menthol content and significant amounts of neurotoxic ketones. Menthol can cause spasms of the glottis, which can lead to suffocation! Pregnant and nursing women, as well as children under 7, should also avoid its use. As a precaution, people with heart disease, hypertension, or hormone-dependent conditions should also refrain. Menthol also has a pronounced cooling effect, so it should not be applied to large areas of the body. For this reason, it should be avoided in aromatic baths.
