NEROLINA/Melaleuca quinquenervia ct nerolidol
Nerolina, Melaleuca quinquenervia, chemotype nerolidol
Melaleuca quinquenervia is a plant of the tea tree genus. Melaleuca quinquenervia is traditionally used by Australian Aborigines. A decoction of the young aromatic leaves is used to treat colds, headaches, and general malaise.
Leaf oil, most often containing cineole, is used for coughs, colds, neuralgia, and rheumatism. Due to some confusion surrounding the original botanical name, it was eventually determined that up to six different chemotypes exist: 1,8-cineole, (E)-nerolidol (also known as nerolina), methyleugenol, methylisoeugenol, linalool, and viridiflorol. This nerolina oil represents the nerolidol chemotype.
The aroma is woody-balsamic, sweet, earthy, fresh, and fruity, with a hint of lilac. Thanks to the main molecule, nerolidol, this species of Melaleuca possesses floral-fruity notes.
Neroline essential oil is unique. Neroline essential oil is used to scent rooms; for some, it has a fruity, fresh, and appealing note. The essential oil can be used in cleaning products, helping to eliminate unpleasant odors.
The oil's effect on the body: it has a hormone-like (estrogen - like), anti-inflammatory (mucous membranes of the respiratory and genitourinary system, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, sinusitis), a tonic effect on the digestive system, the nervous system (balancing the sympathetic nervous system), antihypertensive, anti-infective, antibacterial (Staphylococcus aureus), antiviral, antiparasitic (amoebas, tapeworm, malaria, plasmodes) action.
The effect of the oil on the emotional level: aphrodisiac, increases vitality (asthenia), reduces stress.

Pairs well with other citrus essences (bergamot, lime, lemon, mandarin, sweet orange), with essential oils of cajeput, leuzea, lemongrass, niaouli, fir, thyme, clary sage, hyssop, geranium, lavender, rosemary, Roman chamomile, juniper, cedar, myrrh, myrtle, black pepper, clove, cypress, elemi, eucalyptus, frankincense, jasmine, lavandin, neroli, niaouli, palo santo, patchouli, peppermint, pine, ravensara, tea tree, vetiver.
